fireplace that I love the most

I'm loving it cause it's different. When the others just provide the place to take a rest and always count how much money you must pay, it doesn't happen here. So, what topic I wanna tell about? Now, I'll tell you about the home, really cozy home for the mount climber to stay. I'll tell you bout Mr. Min's house. One of the basecamp in the last village in Merbabu Mount.

If you want to go Merbabu Mount via Wekas track, You must try this one. Try to stay overnight there. The place that I love the most is it's fireplace. It isn't only make you warm by it's fire but the togetherness in this family too.

When I still fall asleep, Mrs. Min always already woke up and cook there. Then followed by her husband (Mr. Min), her daughter and her grandson. She always cook water for her grandson so he can take a bath with the warm water. Then she put an uniform on him. Her grandson still in junior kindergarten.

wake up, and behind me there are Mr. and Mrs. Min already stay in the  fireplace to get warm

One day, when I accompany my friends climb Merbabu Mount. I mean my friends went up to the top and I stay in Mr. Min house became the basecamp team for the rescue if something worst happen.

Because of they didn't want to see me alone in the house they invite me to went harvest in the field with them. They harvest the potatoes. I thought only us that harvest the potatoes but there a lot of people already there. Obviously, all of them are still family. When the harvest time come, they'll help each other to harvest it.

so merry, doesn't it?

our harvest :D

After done, I invited to come to little brother Mr. Min's house, not far from Mr. Min house. His wife already cook chicken for the big family. Then I told to join there. So excited you know. They were very welcome for me although they haven't met me yet before. I really enjoy this atmosphere. When the humility can bring the happines that everyone in it can feel the happiness together. A thing that I won't get in the city.

I won't forget this moment. and I felt sorry too for the other climber that can't feel what I feel. Feel the happiness in the simplicity of the big family. Not only feel the excitement of climbing the mount but excitement mingled with the mountain slope people too.

I'll always miss that place. Fireplace that I love the most. With the warmth of the family inside and of course of the beauty scenery outside the window...

22th May, Hard Day to be Passed

1 year.. Yeah the time run so fast.. It's feel like just yesterday he still here.. Laugh together just to kill the time together.
It was a hard day to be passed. Remember what happened last year it really make me sad. But, I must face the truth. Life must go on. Everything bout him will be always saved in my heart and my mind.

Rest in peace my bradder.. My beloved brother I've ever had. One thing that I can learn from you. I won't make same mistake like I did to you, waste our time, the time that should I use to spent with you, with everyone around me. I will always remember this.

deep of breath at Kayu Ayu Cave

This is my 3rd vertical cave... Kayu Ayu Cave.. like my name..haha

I went there with my friend Fadhlih and my senior Bekti, Aries and Fahmy. We went there about October 2010.. It was so long ago.. This cave located in Parangndog, Bantul, Yogyakarta. It took 30 minute from the city by car or motor. It just straightaway from Parangtritis Beach, first crossroad turn right, enter the alleyway till reach the paragliding runway.

We set up the tent near the paragliding runway. When sunset came, we sat there and enjoyed the evening together. Really calm evening, accompanied by wave so faraway below and the gold sun. In this place, we could see the scenery from above, the beach, Parangtritis Beach looked so clearly up there. Amazing place.

it called love..can you see this?

Next morning we start to enter the cave. We used the caving equipment like usually. This cave was about 20 meters high. It has small entrance but widen on the bottom, so people said bottleneck cave. This cave was rather hyper CO2. I felt it when reach the floor cave. I rather difficult to breath so I must have a sat for a while.
doesn't look like a cave entrance, does it?

ready for the hyper CO2 caving sensation :D

After all of us reach the floor, we explore that cave. Wew, I thought I will have a long way to walk inside there, but it really a small cave, maybe as big as basketball court. After we finished take some picture we went up.
they're stalactit, but they have a tiny lining, so looks fragile

amphipigi (sorry I don't know how spell it) cave insect

looks like crystal..so transparent..all of them

the cavers.. cool  :D

take a pict with our glory flag
Although it was a short journey and small cave to be explore but always there was something special to be told=adventure with friends :D

Bekah Cave, Against the Adrenaline

I love caving. Sometime you will found extraordinary thing there, so many maybe.. It feel like you go to the other world. So weird but make you amazed.

Bout 1 year ago I went to Bekah Cave with my friends. This cave located in Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. It took 2 hours trip by motorcycle or car from Yogyakarta city. It was an unique cave. It located beside the sea, under the 60-70 meters high of cliff. Of course you must wear the SRT (single rope technique) equipment to descending and ascending to passed the high cliff. Sometime when high wave come, this cave will closed by sea water. So we must go there when the sea have its receding time and we will reach till the cave lane.

There, you can also found whales and green turtle. You can see them by using binoculars.
we found that whale...wow

we can saw the turtle too..how lucky we were

I went there twice. First, on 15-17rd April 2011. We just want to tried the track there, observed how was the wave and how was the inside. In this survey, we (me, Tanti, Fadhlih and Fahmy) could enter the cave and reach cave lane because of the waves had being friendly with us. The waves wasn't too high. Only 20 meters we walked through the cave, then we should continued our trip by soar with our life jacket. It was water everywhere till we reached the end of the cave. But, the water tasted like freshwater not salty. Out of the ordinary.

But, the twice we went there, we found some trouble so we couldn't reach the cave lane. I was the rigging woman at that time. The person who went down first and make the rope track. I really nervous. I hate the height, but I must passed this so I wouldn't afraid anymore. Evidently there was the most scary thing, not the height, it was sea wave!!! I must went down which I couldn't reach the floor of the cliff. There just water everywhere. Damn! I couldn't reach the big stone near my rope, the stone that used to hitched the rope. So I decided to stand on the smaller stone under the big one. Then, this is the scary moment. I should jump to the big stone across the wave. It took a long time to me to make sure that I can go there. When the wave wasn't too high I jump in hurry. Finally...Yayyyy. I'm happy but still afraid. I cried till the second man went down. He was Bobi, my senior. He tried to make me calm down.
still try to attach the rope hitch into the anchorage

confuse.. there's no floor.. it just wave everywhere *the worst moment
The third was Heri, my friend. He could reach the floor without any trouble. The 4th was Ika, my senior. She had a trouble, her crawl (one of the ascending equipment) slipped out of the rope so she couldn't reach her jumar (the other ascending equpiment). It called jumar come here. She should tried to reach her jumar many times. She gave up then she throw away the drybag which camera inside so we could catch it. Unfortunately we couldn't do it. The drybag fell freely hit the rocks. Oh My God.. the camera...How lucky we were, nothing happen with the camera..huffftttt
Heri still hang on the rope

In the afternoon the waves higher higher and higher. I and Bobi tried to across the rocks to reach the cave entrance but we couldn't. When Ika finally could reach her jumar the situation wasn't longer good anymore. So she must went up even she didn't reach the floor already.

The situation went more scary. The waves was so high. We must hurried to go up. Bobi told me that I must go up after Ika. I really scared. I tried to ascend as quick as I could, because I knew how was horrible down there. When I almost reached the gorund, the matras which lay base for the rope didn't lie necessarily because of the wind blow so hard. I blew the whistle, the code for the other to correct the matras. Unfortunately, Heri thought that code was for him, the code that permit him to ascend. Finally, I stuck there because my safety equipment attached to the rope which used to ascend by Heri. I tried to yelling him don't ascend right now but he couldn't understand because of wave noise. I cried again. My friend, Fadhlih tried to make me calm down and sent the code for Heri not to climb up. Finally Heri catch the code and I could climb up to the ground.

in a hurry, must go up quickly

Next morning we took picture together and cook pancake. Well just to make the happiness comeback after the accident..
from left: Tanti, Viko, Fadhlih, Heri and me

pancake always make me feel happy :D

It was my great experience of caving. Not the height that make me afraid, but the hurry and the wave did. Really a precious experience.

That's the great edelweiss overlay.. That's Surya Kencana

When most student stuck in their midterm test, I do neither. I just had 1 test in 2 weeks.. So I have so much time to have a holiday yaaayy

So I decided to go to Gede Mount in Bogor, West Java with my friends and my seniors. About 31 persons join in this trip.

We start the track at early morning on Saturday 28rd April 2012 at 3 a.m. Imagine how cold at that time. We passed the forest along the track. It has West Java forest characteristic, wet and tropical forest. We passed many station, a rest area which has more space to set up a tent. I forget all of their name. But there are at least 4 station before we reach the Surya Kencana camping ground. Buntut Lutung, Lawang Saketeng, Pocong and I forget the other..hehe.

We arrived in Surya Kencana at 11 a.m. Like my friends said, this camping ground is really wide. There are so many edelweiss flower there.. So beautiful you know.. This perennial flower grow wild in Surya Kencana valley. Though Surya Kencana located in 2700 MSL, there still a water resources up there. The top of Gede Mount can reach in 30 minute from here. So, this place really enjoy to be a place to camp.

I brought digital camera and prosumer. Here the picture. Enjoy it :D

my first mountain ride

The story began when i joined in PALASMEGA. In this organization suppose it's member to have member's number. We often call it "nomor anggota". To have this number I must follow the mountain climbing event. This is my first experience.

It was excited listen the stories of my seniors bout climbing the mount. I sure it will be so challenging, but also weary.

Our team consist of 8 person. We started gathering on our secretariat of PALASMEGA early morning. It was 15 May 2006. We went to bus terminal to looked for Magelang track bus. Oh, I haven't told that we were climb the Merbabu Mount. It's located in Magelang, Central Java. It's 60 km from my town.

We arrived on Tidar Bus Terminal ( in Magelang city) 1,5 hour later. Then, we continued our trip by Kopeng track bus. We dropped in Wekas after 2 hour of trip. There was a big gate greet us. "Welcome to Forest Tourism of Merbabu Mount". I thought the journey was start. We walked bout 3 hour till basecamp in the last village on the slope, Mr. Min's house. OMyGod, so it just the beginning??

We had a break for a while. At night we continued to climb up, went to camping ground: Pos 2, maybe 2400 MSL. The trip that should 3 hour, we passed over 5 hour cause of night trip so we couldn't see the track clearly. Unfortunately we had choose the detour track. There are many ways to Pos 2 actually. At midnight finally we arrived in Pos 2. We immediately open our tents n took a rest.

2 days we spent our time in Pos 2. There was no other climber while we were there. Maybe it was cause at that time wasn't a holiday or weekend. Our days filled by joy n fun, sharing each other n of course endless jokes. We also stared at the sky full of stars every night. It felt so close, really. It looked so clearly.

At 4th day, we decided to continued our trip to the mount top. We walked over the hills n valleys with the beautiful grass-shrub n edelweiss tree. Finally we arrived at afternoon in Kenteng Songo Pass, the highest top of Merbabu Mount. It's 3142 MSL. Wow, i was really amazed with the view. I could see Merapi Mount n it felt really close. Merapi which was emit the eruption lava. I could see it pulled out the hot cloud. What a trip! Then I realized that people was nothing compared by the other God's creation.

This journey really teach me many things. Bout the togetherness in the nature, brotherhood, help each other to reach the common goal n many more. My senior's principle that I remember till now is "you will never ever can conquer the mount top, you just conquer your ego n yourself to reach the top"

Till now, Merbabu Mount always have its own place in my heart, cause i have learn so many things from it.

PALASMEGA JAYA!!!

Kenteng Songo Pass
note:
there are some song which remind me to this mount like Gomenasai - Tatu, Sandaran Hati - Letto, Dasar Pengecut - Tahta, n Bersama Bintang - Drive. i knew it doesn't match n maybe you ask why that songs. Just a simple answer: because when we walked to Pos 2, Mas Cimeng, one of my senior, brought radio n turned it on along the way. n perchance that songs were popular at that time. When moved the radio channel we just got hear that song play in every channel. haha

my deepest lost

i love outdoor activity very much... cause it's not bout the journey, the place i come to, neither that two reason. but it's bout with whom i go within.
every place will feel so lovely if i go with the right persons.
but, doing this activity have it's consequences and i knew it for a long time. ranging from minor accident till the worst, loss of life.
i think that worst consequence never happen to me n my friend. i think we safety enough, anyway.
and sadly, i had lost one of my partner to go within.
he left me and the other forever.
he had an accident in the Elo River, while he n my other friends do the rafting exercise.
that condolence moment happened when we plan faraway journey. the journey for our togetherness. the journey that have been sacrificed anything we can. even, our study program.

honestly, this is my biggest lost ever.
i have never lost someone so deep before.
my tears can told more than every single word in thus world.

but, finally life must go on n i will remember him not only as my best friend, but my best brother. hope i can learn something from him. learn bout the life, brave, feel for brotherhood, n many more

rest in peace my biggest condolence, Fadhlih Akbar. we gonna meet soon n continue our adventure story :)
